The Skullet is a game changer for outdoor cooking! It’s super easy to use and heats up fast, making it perfect for camping trips or backyard grilling. The design is sturdy and well-built. I only wish they add a carrying bag in the future, that would make it even more convenient. Overall, it’s a solid piece of gear for anyone who loves cooking outdoors!
Ignik Skullet Stove – The Ultimate Outdoor Cooking and Heating Workhorse
If you’re serious about outdoor cooking and camp comfort, the new Ignik Skullet Stove is an absolute game changer. I’ve put it through its paces recently, and I can confidently say this is the best multipurpose propane stove/fire pit hybrid on the market right now.
Let’s talk BTUs—because this beast brings the heat. Whether you’re boiling water, searing proteins, or just trying to keep the crew warm after dark, the output is wild (in the best possible way). I recently seared off 12 racks of lamb on it, back-to-back, and it performed like a champ. Even heat, steady flame, and zero struggle to maintain high temps.
What really sets the Skullet apart, though, is its elevated design. Getting the heat source up off the ground doesn’t just help you cook more comfortably—it radiates whole-body warmth, making it a legitimate replacement for a traditional campfire when you’re under a fire ban or dealing with soggy ground.
Add in Ignik’s reputation for sustainability and safety, and you’ve got a piece of gear that’s just as smart as it is powerful. Whether you’re grilling at base camp, tailgating, or hosting a backcountry feast, the Skullet is now my go-to fire-and-flavor platform.
Highly recommended for any serious outdoor chef or overland enthusiast.

The SKULLET is awesome, not only is it a great campfire, but I love using it as a heater! And when using the additional legs I can bring the heat up to the level of where we are sitting. We have been using the SKULLET on the patio, on the back porch and of course during camping outings. Cooking on the skillet top at camp has been really fun and has challenged me to come up with new ways to feed the crew when out on adventures.
This is a cool piece of multifunctional equipment. With the skillet kit it's not only an excellent and efficient cooking surface big enough to prepare a meal for two, it also provides compact, wood-free heat on cool nights. I cooked vegetables, veggie burgers and tofu on it and not only did it make quick work of dinner, but it offered a nice grill char on everything and it was totally non stick. The flame is really widely adjustable, which is a plus. The middle of the skillet did get really hot no matter how low I turned the flame, though. This is gonna be a hit at tailgates (especially in ski resort parking lots!), multi-day camp outs in areas that may not allow/have fire pits, and backyard cooking for sure. It even puts out a fair amount of heat when using it in heat mode. Not bonfire levels, but enough to warm up your hands and core. Plus: no smoke! It packs up nice and compact, too, which makes it easy to transport or store in between uses. Very sleek.
