QUICK FAQ

Using a 12V power supply, our Heated Sleep System products will operate in 'Max Heat Mode,' and can reach a maximum temperature of 140 degrees F. Using a 5V USB-A power supply, all compatible products operate in 'Comfort Mode', reaching about 85 degrees F. Products operating in Comfort Mode provide an extra layer of warmth, but won't be hot to the touch.

Yes. Each device in our Heated Sleep System line is powered by 12V rechargeable power supplies, and they do not come with a power supply included. All products connect directly to a standard 5.5 x 2.1mm barrel plug. Check the details for each product to see what adapters are included or available.

Maybe! Our original Heated Sleep Systems line (Heated Sleeping Bag Liner, Heated Pad Cover, Heated Seat Pad) operate with a 5v or 12v power source.

Our newer generation of seat pads, the Backside and Backside XL, have slightly different power requirements. These products require 24 watts of power; in other words, a 12v power source that supplies at least 2.0 amps. They come with a USB-C adapter as well as a 5.5 x 2.1 mm barrel connector, and can also be used with our 12v vehicle aux adapter (sold separately).

Love the feeling of a warm bottom, but plug location is awkward for a car seat warmer.

Nice seat warmer. Using it in my car parked on street so it gets quite cold in the morning. Pad heats up quickly though. A bit stiff to sit on and has plenty of support.
Took away 1 star cuz the plug location is right in the middle of the pad and makes for an awkward cord routing PLUS the only way to plug it into the car's auto plug was to buy the optional adapter. The adapter is somewhat proprietary. Control setting display is very dim. Hard to see in daylight.
As a stadium pad, you'll need to calculate how much power is needed. I have a technical background, so was able to calculate the req Whr to last thru a game.

The heated seat is a necessity

While camping Big Sur, my in-laws used the old smaller heated Ignik seats I picked up a couple years ago. They loved them. This upgrade is a necessity for myself and my husband. He missed the heated seats on our last trip to the beach which was cold and foggy. (I didn’t realize the California winter was still in effect since it is Spring!). These cover the whole chair and I can see us using them in our trailer during the colder months. The temperature is quick to heat and cool down. So far very happy with this purchase.

Almost perfect

Overall it’s a great product. It pulls exactly as much power as they advertised. The only thing that could make it better is if they included the car power cable so you could use it in your car, something they could do for the price they sell this for. If cost isn’t a factor for you, buy this and the car power cable.

Some warmth

I loved this, took off the edge on a cold windy night in the desert, my chair is mesh so this was a very nice addition.

This thing is a gamechanger

Had it out camping for the first time this weekend - in Feb in the PNW. My ass has always been cold when winter camping. I always try to solve this by rotating my body around the campfire like a human pig on a spit. No more. When my butt is warm, the rest of my body is warm - I stayed up later winter camping than I think I ever have. How has no one made these before?? I’m in love.
