It's very important that propane tanks be stored upright and in a properly ventilated area.

Additional Storage Tips: Never store the Gas Growler or other propane containers in your living area or in a storage area that is directly attached to your living area. A shed or garage, provided it has adequate ventilation, is an ideal place for propane storage. It is also OK to store your Gas Growler outdoors in any covered location.

Propane containers should only be stored in vehicles with a vented storage locker; do not store the Gas Growler or other propane container in your trunk or sealed car.

Yes! We now offer our Growler Case & Hose Kit for sale for folks that already have a 5 lb tank. Please do keep in mind that our cases are designed specifically to fit Ignik's Gas Growler, and only fit a small portion of the wide variety of 5 lb propane tanks out there. If you have a different tank, we recommend you reach out to us and let us know which tank you have so we can help make sure that our case is a good fit for you. Already have one of our Gas Growlers with a 4' adapter hose and just want the case? Contact us and we'll be happy to sell you a separate case.

Yes! We purge every tank at the factory prior to shipping. When it's time to fill up, your local propane filler should be able to put 1.1 to 1.3 gallons of propane in each tank, depending on their pressure settings. It helps a lot if you tell the filling attendant that is how much your tank needs, as overfilling the tank can lead to suboptimal performance.

Nice Fit & Finish! Perfect for the campsite.

I love the form factor of this product. It’s just right for multi-day trips. Looks great, easy to carry, and my local propane shop filled it for about $10! That’s a significant savings over green bottles and it’s way easier to carry one of these than 10 of those green disposables, which I’ve always avoided by using white gas. Works Great!

Needed a tank for Ooni Koda 16 pizza oven but didn't want 20 lbs size. Talked with Ignik support whether this one would work despite Ooni recommending 20 lbs size. Tried it out on 2 separate occasions and it worked great. Made 5 pizzas each time and has enough fuel for those 2 different times before having to refill at local Ace Hardware. Very happy with my purchase!

Perfect Size

I camp as many weekends as possible but my jeep is also my daily driver, so I am packing in and out all my gear every weekend. I love the packaging, and I love the slinder tall design, it fits perfectly in my rig amongst all my gear! An absolute win!

Love the setup!

While I have purchased a similar propane tank before, it did not have a bag with it. This is one of the reasons I really like this setup. When you are transporting it, you don't have a loose gas container rolling around. It is protected and easy to store in different locations of vehicles and snowmobiles. I can see that this feature will also be helpful when transporting it in my raft. There will be no sharp edges to rub on my raft.
