48 MILLION SINGLE-USE GREEN PROPANE BOTTLES END UP IN LANDFILLS EACH YEAR. WE CAN DO BETTER.
The gas growler is a refillable, no-waste solution for heat and cooking in the outdoors. Green propane bottles are wasteful, messy, and a pain to dispose of properly. You probably don't think about it much, but these bottles are a single-use product. Ignik solves problems like this. We enable you to heat, cook, survive, and thrive in the outdoors, with less waste.
LET'S CAMP SMARTER
Just compare the difference. No matter what adventure you're on, refillable fuel saves you time and money.
It's very important that propane tanks be stored upright and in a properly ventilated area.
Additional Storage Tips: Never store the Gas Growler or other propane containers in your living area or in a storage area that is directly attached to your living area. A shed or garage, provided it has adequate ventilation, is an ideal place for propane storage. It is also OK to store your Gas Growler outdoors in any covered location.
Propane containers should only be stored in vehicles with a vented storage locker; do not store the Gas Growler or other propane container in your trunk or sealed car.
Yes! We now offer our Growler Case & Hose Kit for sale for folks that already have a 5 lb tank. Please do keep in mind that our cases are designed specifically to fit Ignik's Gas Growler, and only fit a small portion of the wide variety of 5 lb propane tanks out there. If you have a different tank, we recommend you reach out to us and let us know which tank you have so we can help make sure that our case is a good fit for you. Already have one of our Gas Growlers with a 4' adapter hose and just want the case? Contact us and we'll be happy to sell you a separate case.
Yes! We purge every tank at the factory prior to shipping. When it's time to fill up, your local propane filler should be able to put 1.1 to 1.3 gallons of propane in each tank, depending on their pressure settings. It helps a lot if you tell the filling attendant that is how much your tank needs, as overfilling the tank can lead to suboptimal performance.
I bought this for my gas growler from Ignik. This is a very well made item, with quality stiching and finish throughout. With the included hose, you can eliminate using the little green bottles of propane, and will connect right up with your gas camp stove and appliances that use 1# bottles. This is a quality item, and I will be ordering another soon. Thanks Ignik!
I love my Firecan and I love Ignik, but the growler case is a fail. The case is so cute, but the bottom disintegrates within days of coming into contact with moisture of any sort. It appears to be a sprayed on or dipped rubber of some sort that flakes off almost from the moment you start using it. Mine lasted about a month before it started to disintegrate.
Thank you for taking the time to share this review with us! We're so very sorry to hear that you have had a disappointing experience with one of our Growler Cases. We always want to stand behind our products, and would be happy to make this right. Someone from our customer service department will be reaching out to you to discuss options.
Waited for the black to come into stock and so glad I did! Thought white would get dirty quick camping. Bunch of family members recommended this case and I now do too! I have a different 5lb propane tank and it’s alittle snug but works great to store tank/hose. Excited to try this thing out this summer!
I currently own two of the Ignik Gas Growlers, and recently purchased a new black case for a one of them. It has saved me a lot of money from having to continually buy the green propane bottles. Cheap and easy to fill at Costco. Much better for the environment at the end of the day. Absolute GAME CHANGER! For my camping, fishing and adventures. Highly recommend and worth the money. I just need a firecan now :)…
Very high quality tank and case. It costs me only four dollars to fill, and lasts way longer than the green ones plus, you’re not throwing them away all the time. Thanks for starting/continuing the sustainability trend Ignik!
